Michael Gormley (GOMER)
Michael Gormley who has been fondly called Gomer since the 10th grade is married to his beautiful wife Shannon and they have four children under the age of six (so he doesn’t sleep much). Gomer has been part of the AMU Youth Conferences since its beginning and uses the gift of humor to share the knowledge and grace of the Holy Spirit with young people and adults all over the country in order to evangelize and catechize those belonging to the new evangelization. Father ERIC Scanlan
Father Eric Scanlan serves as the Vocations Director for Diocese of Venice. Fun Fact: Fr. Eric is the son of Brian Scanlan, our Fearless Conference Center Director!
Joseph Traver is biochemistry student at Ave Maria University. Joe served as a missionary for three years with NET Ministries, putting on over 350 retreats across the United States. In addition to being a nomad for Jesus, Joe has worked as a chef and baker. Joe loves coffee, corgis, chicken nuggets, and all things Catholic.
Kelsey Skoch is in her sixth year as a missionary with FOCUS, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, and currently serves as Regional Director for Parish Outreach. After graduating with a business marketing degree from the University of Kansas, her passion for mission started when she interned at two Fortune 500 companies and saw the greater need for Christ in our world. Through speaking at international and national Catholic conferences, emceeing at World Youth Day 2016, and training hundreds of missionaries each year, Kelsey has been able to share her love of Christ to thousands all over the world. She considers Chipotle and footie pajamas the finer things in life and currently resides with her husband in Denver, CO.
Fr. Richard Pagano
Fr. Richard Pagano is a priest from the Diocese of St. Augustine returning from studies in San Diego at John Paul the Great University. Father Pagano has most recently earned an MBA in Film Producing and Communications in order to impact culture for Christ and evangelize through new media efforts. Fr. Pagano, prior to his appointment in studies, was parochial vicar at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Palm Coast. Furthermore, he served as Chaplain at St. Joseph Academy. Father completed his undergraduate studies at Ave Maria University and M.Div. at St. Vincent de Paul Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL. He speaks at nationwide youth conferences and has a passion for empowering the faithful through proclaiming the Gospel. He attributes great vocational inspiration to Pope John Paul II who continues to inspire him to serve all of God’s people and embody the Truth that “from the Eucharist comes strength to live the Christian life and zeal to share that life with others” (St. John Paul II).

EPIC the Band is a young and vibrant group of artists based in Miami, Florida who have dedicated their lives to sharing the Gospel through music. With a sound that blends multiple genres, the freedom in their worship breaks out of the church and into the world. We have blocked off rooms at the Hampton Inn (off of Exit 111) on Immokalee Rd for the Youth Conference at a Special Rate of $94 per room per night. The Hampton Inn is located just 30 minutes from the University! Each room can comfortably sleep four people. This means that nearby lodging agreements will only be an additional $23.50 per person for one night or $47.00 for two nights. The conference will conclude late Saturday night (9pm) so we understand that it might be more convenient for groups to stay Friday and Saturday night.
